Led the design of a unified system to support a rebrand. Commissioned a custom typeface from TypeType. Adopted by 40+ product teams, spanning web, native mobile, TV, and desktop apps.

The Problem

While a design system and React-based components were available, teams had the flexibility to use it or not. We also had non-web apps like native mobile, TV, and desktop apps that couldn’t utilize a web-centric design system.

What we did

Design Tokens

We implemented a set of design tokens for color, sizing, spacing, radius, and typography that could be utilized by all platforms instead of only the web app.

Documenting the system

We created a new design system documentation site to support 40+ teams using the design system.
